Adingra

I would get rid. There’s a good player in there, but he doesn’t fit the identity of the club.
Our recruitment now is all about work rate. We only look for players who graft their bollocks off. I’m not saying that he’s lazy, but he just isn’t a grafter. Add to that how lightweight he is also. Enzo is small, but he isn’t afraid to stick his boot in. Adingra just didn’t have that about him.

So no hard feelings, but he just isn’t the right fit for the club.
My assessment aswell ,for another year or 2 we will need to fight for every point as we build towards competing at the top table. We cannot have any softies, which sadly he is .

Hope he has a good world cup, clearly doesn't do enough defensively for RLB, but I like him.

That goal against Leeds was massive in getting us to Europe, played his part, money well spent

Not every transfer can be a hit, hopefully he and Diarra has a great world cup and we can move them both on.

Diarra started to show enough towards the end of last season to suggest he is well worth keeping.

Adingra is (sadly) not a player for the way we play.
BUT!….we can’t just let Monaco have our eyes out.
Pay what you agreed to or bog off.
If you ain’t got the money, tough shit. We can’t afford Lamal et al, so we don’t shop at that level.
That is life messieurs.

We also can't afford to keep a player we don't want. We have to be prepared to deal, not just refuse to sell below x.

I don’t think we’ll get shot. The club hasn’t invested 20+ million to get rid in 6 months unless we can turn good profit. 6 months on loan could well have benefited him seeing he was playing regularly which he wouldn’t have staying with us the knars
Apparently it was a very Stewart Harvey signing BC we had interest for him the the championship so wouldn't surprise me if we move on

I think it's clear he has no future here but I think we wrote him off too early. The wide positions have been an issue for us, and apart from Le fee (who needs to play in the centre), none of the wide men have really proved enough to nail down those positions.

I still don't think Hume is a winger, Talbi is inconsistent (especially on the right), Rigg isn't a winger, I'm not confident Mundle is up to this level, Traore is injury prone and likely off now, Angulo looks a bit rabbit in the headlights, and Ta Bi is incredibly raw.

So we seem to have stuffed the squad with wingers who havent really made their claim. Some may come good, some won't, but I think it is too early to be writing Adingra off. But I think we have.
Talbi will be a permanent left winger now very wrong about anguilo his injured set him back especially after joining on Jan Rigg will get a go in midfield next season I feel so a new rw and tabi backing him up

Yeah, I know, but we shouldn’t just buckle. Let it be known to all and sundry, how much he will cost. We could get some interest from others that are willing to pay the asking price.
However…….If Monaco are the only feasible bid after World Cup, then we can talk to them and see what happens.

I know that all of the dominoes have to fall into place, BUT….”who dares wins, Rodders”

I liked the look of him when he was at Brighton, but that was mainly highlight stuff.

There's something there but he's not for us. Not now Angulo, Talbi and Le Fee' would all be ahead of him in his position now.

Didn't he do well at Monaco and they have an option? They're not taking it then I presume?
They want him but not for the price we want. Hopefully he has a fantastic world cup and we can make a decent profit on him.

Ta Bi has more in his little toe than Mundle. I agree with your general point around none of the wingers nailing a place down.

Adringa did nothing for me in his appearances for SAFC.

I think Talbi probably is the option I'd go for on the left, he's a really good footballer. But by no stretch of the imagination has he made that place his own yet. He's been on the bench as much as he has been in the team.

I hope Angulo is up to it, but he hasn't shown that yet. He'll be 23 in a couple of weeks and although he seems to have skill and works hard, his decision making is abysmal.

I agree that Rigg's future will be in the middle of the park.

All I am saying is that probably the only two positions in our first XI, where there isn't someone who has absolutely nailed down the place, are on the left and right sides of midfield / attack. Even though we have loads of players who can play there.

Which is why I find it odd that a £20m winger in Adingra, who has done well in the Premier League in the past, was bombed out after starting 9 games.

I'm not writing Angulo off. Maybe he will get more up to the pace of the game next season. He's been poor so far though, and hasn't offered anything other than staying on the ball far too long until he is dispossessed.

And I couldnt care less if Adingra was a Stuart Harvey signing. So were lots of players who have been excellent for us.

Just the nature of the position most of that, all our options there are either young or injured a lot of the time as well.

Can see the club are willing to keep going until we hit one though, evidenced by getting rid of Adingra after the aforementioned 9 games and bringing in 2 the same window.

If it were me I’d let Rigg make the position his own for now, although I agree with you that he should be played centrally, he’s not getting in ahead of Enzo for a while though, let’s be honest
