Winger
Started for Ivory Coast last night and is looking likely to feature heavily in the WC regularly.

If he does well do you try and persist with him and see if he settles into a more attacking Sunderland side or do you just maximise the cash and get rid?
 

I liked the look of him when he was at Brighton, but that was mainly highlight stuff.

There's something there but he's not for us. Not now Angulo, Talbi and Le Fee' would all be ahead of him in his position now.

Didn't he do well at Monaco and they have an option? They're not taking it then I presume?
 
He’s only played just over 7 games for us. Need a bit more time before I can make a judgement.

Having said that RLB and the coaching team will have seen much more of him and I’d trust their judgement.

Seems to be this view that we need wingers who can score like Harry Kane and defend like Maldini who will cost <20m
Surprise surprise we haven’t found one yet and they don’t exist
 
There's a player there for the right club but don't think it's us. His skills definitely don't match how we play and he is a bit Ba like, headless chicken at times but has natural ability. Definitely more ability than Ba and less flaws of course but you know what I mean.

Let's see how he does. He obviously has something, he was left out of AFCON so he's obviously worked his way back into the squad. His time at Monaco has obviously done him some good. If he does well and comes back raring to go then we should absoloutely keep him. If he wants to go then cash in.
 
He seemed a 'luxury' player in our games, in the sense that he doesn't appear to want to do the hard yards that Régis expects in terms of helping out the players at the back when we don’t have possession of the ball.

Think Brighton fans warned us about his knack of going missing if we're not attacking.

His recall into the national squad for the WC hopefully makes it easier for us to push our case for the full agreed fee OR keep him as a squad player until we get a better offer due to needing cover for Europa games. Imho I think he'll actually be better in European games if his performances for Monaco are any indication.
 
Not for us but hope we get 20 million. Think he could be a dangerous player for any promoted team. But would he go to Coventry? I wouldn't.

From the bits and pieces reported about it they don't have a load of money and the agreed fee is a bit much for them.
