Alan nixon saying it's still very active so we shall see
been on radio, that pearson consortium pulled out a while ago.

doesn't make sense as nixon could have published as tried and failed attempt.

perhaps he didn't know or perhaps a double bluff by pearson group as info was obviously leaked

people have tweeted him that today he's still saying it's very active still despite other's saying different

He's also saying that there's a chance he's pulled out because he doesn't like the fact it's been made public. Nobody is sure of what is going on. I think we're all going to just have to be patient.

I keep saying it.
We would be better off...taking full page ads in the Beijing Times / Abu Dhabi Times / Qatari Times etc
With background of our fantastic club, and beg them to buy us.
Couldnt be worse than how it is now.......

We'll be in the back pages of the Exchange and Mart tucked a way amongst the adverts for x-ray glasses and incontinence pants.

Going by the amount of people who are seemingly “In the know”, it wouldn’t surprise me if there were a number of tyre kickers around who’ve had a look at the club.

It seems to me that the real issue in the whole deal will be the secured finance with the loan provider that isn’t Ellis Short, It would be extraordinary if they weren’t first required to give consent to the assignment of that debt elsewhere and if that were me, I’d be sticking with my boy Ellis, far better a billionaire on the hook that a diverse group of consortium members.

I think the club are snookered for this reason and this reason alone.

The loan is to Sunderland Limited. If the shares in that company change hands (or the shares in Drumaville, the immediate parent), that loan is still to Sunderland Limited. There is no change in the entity owing it. SBC may wish to take a view on the recoverability of that debt in the light of those changes, but that's not the same thing. Legal personality, and all that.

What's Crystal f***ing clear is that these journos know the square root of fuck all. Every time a story has appeared referencing 'someone' heading up a consortium, the story gets rubbished a day or so later. .

Link please marra
his twitter account is set to private so if you don't follow him, then you can't get access , he's basically saying as far as he is concerned the deal is still active as of yesterday when he posted his new article, now it's been made public all of a sudden they say they have backed of a deal, nixon is hinting that they will want to get things done in private therefore that's why the story of them pulling out has came out about 12 hours later

Instead of focussing on some event we know may or may not happen based on a position we aren't in what we need to do is, I think, think about focussing on an event we know may or may not happen based on a position we are in. We know Ellis is our owner so we need to look to him to learn what his plan is for the next 10 or 15 years. Recovery is not a short term plan but a long term plan.

we know what his plan is. he wants to sell.

He does not want to put any more money into the club other than running costs.

Bain has just been on the radio and said that.

If you don't believe me, the interview will be played in full on total sport this evening

The club is being sold, we just don't know if anybody is willing to buy it as yet.

As with a lot of negotiations, things can suddenly change.

as a ps, don't side yourself with the mag m2017. he is not a mate of yours.
