When the loan players go back, we don't renew contracts of Jones, JoS etc and we sell/loan out Borini, Khazri, Botchup, Lens, Kone, Oviedo and McNair, surely our wage bill will become manageable ?
I can't see us getting rid of Cattermole or Rodwell or, that they will want to leave which is a massive shame.
The upcoming squad upheaval is going to be something else.

Not really mate

You can't just say "once we get rid of", as we couldn't do it this season, and clubs loaning don't want to pay all their wages

Papy, NDong, Kone, Rodwell, Cattermole, all on massive massive money. They all won't go.

Then McGeady, Steele and others will be on good money too.

Its tough. It has to be our focus.

People like Khazri, although might be sold, might not be till late in the window, so we will be paying his wages when he comes back.

I am not defending Short one bit, but I can sort of see why we didn't spend loads with all these jokers still getting paid.

We basically just need to give some players away

I'm sure D'Dong, Khazri and Borini are gone in the terms of their loan.

Rodwell takes a 40% cut by all accounts, I don't know what Kone is on or Cattermole, but I doubt Mcgeady and Steele are on big money relatively. Someone will take Papy, at least to some degree.

I think the parachute payment for next season pretty much services the debt, so considering others will leave there should be a little bit (decent amount for that level) to spend, hopefully more if a new owner injects a bit of capital. Who knows too, a few wins at the start and maybe the crowds will pick up too.

I think we've seen over recent years, with us and other teams, we may be down but it will be massive if we can do well in these last two games to at least get some kind of positive feeling in to the club going in to the Summer. Losing 6-0 at home to Wolves on the last game and having months to dwell on that would be terrible.

NDong and Khazri aren't mate.

Rodwell will still be earning more than whole league 1 teams.

Steele and McGeady are on big money relatively.

I don't wanna be a downer, but the wage bills is our biggest problem, and has to be the absolute priority

We were paying most of Papy's wages in the champ, don't see how it will change.

Hopefully they can do something!

Because the transfer window opens on July 1 and if they were planning on management or CEO changes then they'd want to get new people in before the start of the window.

It being a world cup year might work in our favour for once. It always seems to take ages for the market to pick up pace when the WC on so it might help prevent us getting left too far behind in that respect. Still not ideal like.

This. I for one can see major problems with these players and I know, I know, but we will need Short's help to pay them.

You're worrying about a problem we don't yet have.

You don't know of any deals that are in place.

You don't know of any further reductions in income due to relegation.

You don't know who will want to stay and who will want to leave.

Just wait and see how things pan out with a takeover first.

Took them over in Administration at the bottom of League Two - got them 2 promotions up to the Championship and built the KC Stadium. They were promoted to the Premier League the year after he left - not a bad 6 years at Hull City. Hull fans would have him back now if you check their message boards. Some people seem to be desperate to see negatives, maybe understandably, when all I can read about this fella is positive.
