As the dad of 3 lasses this is my stance, if some other club wants to employ him fair enough but I don't want the club I support hiring a man on the sex offenders register for grooming under age lasses.

do you honestly think AJ got off lightly with his sentencing?

like i said before, he has had his career and reputation trashed on a level that couldnt have happened to a regular bloke. must be down ten million in earnings too. do the crime do the time but my point is he has paid epically for his actions, in multiple ways.

Said it last weekend and got accused of being all sorts of things, but this forum has a reputation for housing people with "radical" views on child sex offences.

Totally seperate from Johnson, two notable posters have been convicted of offences against kids. And their activity on Readytogo.net has been published all over social media and the internet.

Why the hell aren't the moderators stepping into prevent these threads descending into this.

It's disgusting is what it is.

A teacher would have had similar without the millions in the bank that Johnson has.

I didn't say that did I? He got preferential treatment in terms of the location of the hearing (moved to avoid local bias and attention, something that gave him an extra 6 months of freedom) he was given 2 weeks with his baby daughter before going to prison, the reports suggest he's having an easy time of it in prison. As for his sentence, was it harsh? It feels like it was, but I have no frame of reference for what is/is not a fair sentence for a crime of this type. I know that sentencing is largely based on precedents set my previous crimes of the same nature, so I'll leave that one to the legal experts

:confused: Wouldn't say so like, if some club is happy to put up with the media shit and have the hassle of keeping bairns safe for the prospect of getting a former England player that's up to them. Got nowt to do with wishing shit on someone else, they will have brought it on themselves.

I'm sure most are on a wind up, but I cannot be certain that some aren't. That was the question that I wanted to post that they think it's ok for him to return to football as if nothing happened. Would they be so happy with this if he joined Newcastle straight from prison?

The answer of course is obvious. The'd be leading the charge of condemnation.

Once he has done his time he needs to continue his rehabilitation. That may or may not be as a footballer. If it is it should be a long way from here as that wont do anyone, him, his family and more importantly his victim and her family any good

his 2 weeks out before was part of his sentencing. of course 6 years was at the harsh end, take a look at any thread that gets hoyed up about a female teacher shagging her students

Maybe because he wasn’t stopped in time. Who is to say Johnson wouldn’t have put his victim up in a house, etc? He has the financial resources to do so and was clearly infatuated with her considering what he was putting at risk.

Not sure what’s funny about a 15 year old being abducted though, you’ll have to explain.
