Does anyone know where this meeting took place, could have been at SoL or AoL and hence the reason docs in the clubs possession. Maybe Ms Byrne handed them over and left them to it and was only at meeting or in their company for a little while.

Yep. They denied knowing that he was going to plead guilty but there was absolutely no denial that they saw the WhatsApp messages which very clearly proved his guilt on the grooming charge.

If they didn't know then we can fully expect them to be taking legal action against Johnson and his QC at the first opportunity.

Offensive is over using words with a very emotive meaning. The terms 'nonce' 'paedo' and 'child molester' have huge emotive impact. This diminishes when they're thrown around too much.

If she can't make an informed choice to have sexual contact a few weeks from her 16th birthday, what changes when she turns 16, other than a legal technicality? Does she have an epiphany? Does she go to classes? does she suddenly mature? No, she's still the same girl.

This is why the age of consent should be 18 IMO, 16 year olds are still quite often too immature to make such drastic choices about their bodies.
You can't vote or drink at 16 but you can have sex? Absolutely ridiculous IMO.

It's not about having a go. It's about finding out IF the club acted immorally.
Johnson committed the crime for which I hope he is duly punished. But so far this wall of silence about what the club did or did not know is helping no one.

Just a thought. His phone would have been taken from him and kept by police. He could have requested any docs to be sent for his legal team.

BTW Lee Hughes fled from the scene of the accident & hid for a few days before giving himself up. Do you believe that was the only time Lee Hughes got behind of the wheel of his car after having more than 2 units of alcohol?

And the person Barton beat up was 16 years old. I hope the kid has grown into a beef cake & will take his chance for revenge

He was, he just hadn't been caught or convicted. But he was still a sex offender.

That's like saying I could go out today and murder 12 people but if I don't get caught I'm not really a murdreder.

It's bloody ridiculous. She was just 15, closer to 14 than 16 of you want to play that game. If I was 15 and a female celebrity I idolized was paying me attention and was hinting at a sexual relationship, I would have done the same as the girl. When your 15 you think you know everything and are grown up. But they our just in between being a kid and a young adult.

Just for the record, I'm not saying this was the same in your incident.
