Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

I have said numerous times my opinion is based on what I have seen, ive followed this BEFORE he was arrested, ive seen her posts online, ive seen what her friends have wrote and said about her, I dont think she can be classed as a reliable witness based on what I have seen, and despite having ALL the evidence 2 members of the jury weren't convinced.

This is all a bit 'the ref has to be 100% sure or he can't give it'.

Maybe there's a role for you as a Match of the Day pundit.

Victim blaming again

Some guy on another thread was blaming her parents this morning. I don't even blame Johnson's parents! He's the only one to blame.

It's very disappointing that we have people like this, blaming the victim, supporting SAFC. There's been quite a few throwing in little digs, blaming the lass, and basically trying to make it out like it's not too serious. 5-10 years in prison would suggest otherwise.

They're an embarrassment to this board, the Club and the City.

Remember the lass is actually a big SAFC fan aswell, imagine some of the stuff they would be saying if she was a Mag?

Well I've changed my mind about this matter over the last few days. Yes Johnson deserves to go to jail and the club should not have played him if they knew what the police had evidence of. Huge mistake by management.
However the outpourings by the media continually referring to the girl as "the child" and the police overstepping their role by sending tecs to the BBC to put the boot in SAFC have made me more ready to stick up for MY Club.

I think we should hope the club correct their mistake and other than that say STUFF EM all we are Sunderland.

The next stage I reckon will be the club being dragged through the courts for damages - argument being that they are vicariously liable for the actions of their employees. Could get very very messy.

Byrne should be shot with shit and pushed out - the decision to let Johnson play in the light of what it seems evident the club knew was shocking and the buck needs to stop with her.

What did the club know?

This.
This is the same sun that accused football supporters of beating up a policeman administering the kiss of life. That accused supporters of picking the pockets of corpses. The same sun whose employees paid police officers for stories.
The same sun that supported thatcher during the miners strike. The same sun that told everyone straight sex can't give you aids. The same sun that was complicit in hacking phones. That's just a few I can think of off the top of my head. I don't really think they're in any position to be taken seriously, anyone that does is at the same level and should be pitied.
Was talking to me mam about this, she said when she was younger she went to the paper shop to get me granda his Sunday papers as a surprise. She bought a Sunday Sun and unbeknowing a News Of The World, he wasn't happy and made her take it back. Despite me nana saying can you just not keep it he said he refused to give it house room. And that was a canny few years ago.

@sidneyeric Just a quick question, which might have been asked already so apologies I can't be arsed to read nearly 300 pages, but how were you following this before the arrest? Do you also follow this 14/15 year old girl on social media? Unless a friend or relative, that's a bit weird too.

Have you read their FIFA 16 article yet @janey

Sure their writers are having a competition to see who can call him a paedo the most times.
Not yet I'm just catching up, been in a meeting all day, though really it's a bit like missing Coronation Street for three weeks, when you go to catch up nothing at all has changed

Just read it, dear me.

This is wider and to do with child protection. It is something that must not be allowed to be hidden amongst the dirt.

Otherwise let's not have any threads at all. Just a free for all eh!
