Nobody on this board was privvy to the conversarions between the club and Johnson's representatives and nobody knows exactly what information was disclosed.

We do know Johnson lied to the police in his statements as he admitted that in court. Therefore his statements weren't even a true reflection of his version of the events.

Fair enough Keith but I've a feeling this will run until we either get another statement clarifying the accusations or someone's head rolls.
As much as some are hoping it does I just don't feel one ambiguous statement and no further comment is going to suffice I'm afraid.

I think they did, I also think he played down what he had done, he thought he was flirting but because she was under 16 didn't know it was classed as grooming, He played down the kiss as a thank you for giving her a shirt not thinking it would be classed as sexual contact. He told them he was pleading not guilty on them basses.
