Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

Why are you so sure that there will be a nother statement, when the majority of the people on this thread seem happy with SAFC's response.

A tiny minority on a internet message board won't have any impact you know

I dont think there will be another statement. It is not on here, it is on front pages of papers, massive organisations are running with same headlines.

800+ Whatsapp messages?

Nobody is on your case! Or our case.
It's the hierarchy of the club who are under the spotlight. Nowt to do with me or you.

Temporarily.

It will go on until sentencing, but its journalists just trying to get every last word out of a story

Johnson has brought the club into this, if we had sacked him on the spot, we would still be associated with him, that is the way the world works unfortunately

People are being too naive.

Don't talk shite man, the hysterical keyboard bashers wouldn't believe a statement if it was written in Charlie Hurley's blood.

It'll only run and run on pathetic forum threads like the twin towers or alien autopsy's.

I'm not talking shite at all.

I'm pointing out that the club haven't addressed anything in the statement.

You seem happy with it though.

There are a few articles, but that will blow over, the trial is over, they have to extend the story as far as they can.

The club have followed all the right procedures and have nothing to worry about with regards to this.

Can't respond to everything journalists come out with, as long as the majority of paying SAFC supporters are happy with the response, that is all that matters.

We don't even know if the club read them though, the file was passed straight over is what the statement said.
That's the issue, if they passed them on without reading them then how can they have come to the conclusion to allow him back, it boggles the mind if they were given such evidence and chose not to read the thing then it's unbelievable naive and amateurish of them.

'Sunderland AFC made a “catastrophic error of judgment” when they allowed Adam Johnson to continue playing despite knowing he privately admitted kissing a 15-year-old schoolgirl, child protection experts have said...'

Yet apparently we're 'conspiracy theorists'...
Why didn't these "experts" pipe up at the time? I suspect because they now have guilty verdict to hide behind.

Chile protection experts

No wonder they're taking the chance to deflect attention after their shameful failures at Rotherham etc ........ dear me.

You know how this works? The Guardian ring up people specifically for the quote they want, they could have got a quote saying the opposite if they wanted mate. But they didn't want to, as this is a better story for them. Its called journalism.

Probably shouldn't bandy sentences like that about, particularly when it's more likely the naive ones are those who blindly accept anything the club does.

You keep saying that majority how the fuck do you know like, nearly everyone I know season ticket holders the lot of them aren't too happy the way the club have handled it and want more information re evidence they knew of.

Uncle Ellis needs to wield the axe, otherwise the club look shocking imho.

Maybe the club lawyers advised them to let the legal process take its course.
