Aberdeen fans - sectarian banner...

Celtic could do whatever they want, they appetite isn’t there to take on the Green Brigade and a lot of what your saying about the club being pro active in this regard is just nonsense. The club enable the Green Brigade with their associated sectarian leanings, no amount of virtue signaling from apologists change that.
Do you have anything to back the bit in bold up or do you just want it to be true?

So the attempted appointment by Celtic to its board of Bernard Higgins who was the national strategic lead for police Scotland and who brought In the Offensive Behaviour Act for Scottish football, but who is still involved at the club was imagined then was it?

Again, do you just want it to be true. Rather than taking the time to work out whether it actually is or not.

Class.

What makes you think many aren’t? They do, there are cases covered in the press where the club identify and ban for life fans who go too far.

They can’t preemptively ban the entire green brigade but the clubs attitude and response to them have ensured they’ve stayed the right side of a very fine line 99% of the time. It’s an ongoing issue and I applaud the club for not dropping the fight. I am critical that they acquiesced on the proposed appointment of the football hooliganism chief appointment kind you. I believe that would have been a positive move.

The Celtic symphony song is a complex issue. It’s not welcome, I’m pleased I didn’t hear it today at Livingston and I’m pleased I’ve heard it less in recent away games after it became resurgent with fans free from the scrutiny at Celtic Park this last year.

People who want to lump Celtic in with Rangers always go for the Lee Rigby song but they always stop short of this bit… Always. It’s almost as though they just want to hate them because they represent something they don’t like.

“Celtic Football Club , and said: “Clearly everyone at Celtic is appalled by these events.

“Such behaviour, in no way, represents Celtic Football Club or our supporters.

“We understand this incident is now subject to an ongoing enquiry.

“Let us be clear: in the event that any individuals are identified as being responsible, Celtic will take the strongest possible action.”

Nothing defendable, they bring shame to both clubs.
Why don’t decent fans call them out, why aren’t cameras singling them out, why aren’t they removed for singing such songs.

There is the answer, nothing gets done about it.
They make me sick.
Embarrassing thread.
Sadly you are probably right.

So you think this and booing the national anthem is OK? I suggest it's quite possibly you who is the bellend if you do!
Why should anyone who doesn't agree with a monarch not object to 'long to reign over us'? It's not a national anthem, it's a dirge about a privileged family. Keep bending the knee and rejoicing in your position as a subject.
I’m out.

Here come the usual intransigent and predetermined suspects.
You've put s canny shift in

How many banning orders have Celtic handed out in the last year? Just out of interest like.

You’re referencing the attempts at hiring someone that the fans backlash led to this not happening?

I don’t see Celtic being anymore proactive than any other club regarding fan behaviour.

Like I say, Celtic have enabled the Green Brigade for years, that seems at odds to the picture you’re trying to paint.

I see a lot of people trying to claim they are the good guys and the others are the bad guys.

Imagine Arsenal fans held up a flag saying 'Kill All Yids'? Or Man Utd fans having flags with 'Kill All Scousers'?

I agree with your first point 😀
However Arsenal fans in North London derby’s in the 70s ,used to make a low hissing noise to mimic the sound of gas, used in concentration camps to kill Jews .
After 1989 Man U fans sang about the killing of Liverpool supporters by the actions of the police at Hillsboro .No doubt if asked to justify it “Liverpool fans for years have sang about Munich “Would be the reply.
A lot of people ,spend a lot of time ,trying to defend the indefensible.

Unfortunately, a reflection of our divided society at the moment. Regressive, going back to basics and opening up old wounds, tearing strips off each other, whilst the real enemy are f*cking us over. Can't see this getting better anytime soon, in fact I think things will probably get worse. Muppets like this infecting every club in the country like a cancer.

It's nothing new, and has always been like this. As bad as it is, Scottish football is probably in the best place it's been for decades.
No doubt Southgate will be blaming "Partygate" or whatever like
