Once he's finished searching the down the back of the sofa looking cash to pay his players.I'm sure the Wigan owner, once he's eaten his kedgeree, will be on the case.

Exactly this. The term Hun is a familiar derogatory term used by Brits for Germans in the two world wars...but in this instance it is being used as a reference to the German origins of the current British royal family. It is an easy dig for Irish Republicans to use against those who swear allegiance to the Crown (in this case, Rangers fans).
That, condensing it down, is what it's about.
Both sides are as bad as each other. Personally having as a Catholic grown up in Scotland still to this day see us subjected to sectarianism. Goes both ways unfortunately and in the 21st century it is indeed Scotlands Shame. As with the original poster both sides can't wait to be offended and try to take the moral high ground whilst they are both as bad as each other and need to reflect on there own sides actions.
Foodbank collection yes. Not noticed support for those having to strike to try and maintain pay and conditions. Not seen anything about support for Ukranian refugees but I imagine you can advise. Raising money for a Palestinian refugee camp sounds a bit of a stretch for the lumpen Ibroxians but I live in hope. What do you want? A medal? Rangers were doing all of that in August. Well done for catching up though.

Football supporters are the f***ing pits at times
This 100% in Belfast KAH is plastered all over. A lot reckon it goes back to harland and Wolff, a German firm only employing Protestants in their yards in Belfast and Glasgow."kill all huns" is a phrase which is splattered all over the walls of Belfast and other areas of Northern Ireland. That's not there for Rangers fans.
It is sectarian.
I’ve spend an enormous part of my life either working and staying all over Scotland. Love the people and always been treated well. It never occurred to me in my 60 years that I was not welcome Lately however I’ve become self conscious about being English when Iam there.
I’ve walked around Glasgow, Edinboro, Dundee and Aberdeen late at night many many times in the past without a second thought that Iam English.
I wouldn’t open my mouth now.
They really genuinely aren’t. That’s the easiest trope to resort to and it shows such a lack of thought.
There’s one football club in Glasgow for whom bigotry is central to who they are. The same club that enacted a formal policy of non recruitment purely on the basis of a persons religion and whom still don’t lift a finger to stamp out the very worst sectarian elements within its fan base. It’s why guys like Sir Alex Ferguson despise them.
Celtic on the other hand issue banning orders to their own fans, connect with Nil by Mouth Scotland on education in schools and have sought to police the green brigade to the extent that they tried to appoint the hated former head of football policing in Scotland to the board.
Good post. There's no doubt its a significant problem across Scottish football, but there's also no doubt that those associated with Rangers are by far the worst of the lot. It's not even up for discussion. They really genuinely aren’t. That’s the easiest trope to resort to and it shows such a lack of thought.

Imagine how much of a fuckwit you must be to wear a t shirt like that.an injury that the family friendly, sectarian fighting, anti-bigotry Aberdeen FC still celebrate to this day.

It was Neil Simpson, not Neil Cooper - it was awful - I was at the game and had a good view. Neil Simpson is actually a really nice bloke. No love lost between Aberdeen and Rangers.
Goes back to when Neil Cooper of Aberdeen mangled Ian Durrant of Rangers knee in a game back in the 80's.
