1AD is the first year of the 1st century (there wasn’t a 0, it went 1BC to 1AD), so year 100 was the 100th year of the 1st century, so year 101 was the first year of the 2nd century... following that though, 2021 is the 21st year of the 21st century, isn’t it?

Edit: it should’ve been 20:20 like, then it’s the 21st minute of the 21st hour of the 21st day of the 21st year of the 21st century...
