Should have made it a joint retirement with Broad, would have been fitting with them both going out to bat yesterday morning. How many wickets has he got this series, something like 6 in four matches?

No-where near enough. Worse than that though, he doesn't look remotely threatening half the time.

He averaged 16 in February in New Zealand and 19 all of 2022.
I don't think you lose ability pretty much overnight. Jimmy has never been particularly good against the Aussies.
We'll need his miserly seam bowling in India.

Our spinners normally go for runs in Asia, when it's not turning.
Jimmy usually massive in stemming the flow and taking wickets too.
Robinson had that same effect in Pakistan.

Ben Stokes fitness a massive part of why he got picked mind.
Probably gamble on Ahmed if he was fit to bowl properly in the first test. Even though I still think that would have been a mistake to put that on him.
Dawson was arguably the best pick, but I can see they wanted someone experienced at the top level in Moeen over him.

He’s had a great career but this series has just looked like one too many for Anderson. He hasn’t posed any threat whatsoever.
