5th test the oval

I think it was pretty obvious yesterday the pitch was as flat as a witches tit. So no surprises here. We will work hard for wickets but hoping 1 brings a flurry. 200for nowt and I’ll panic. Just hoping for clusters like rest of summer

So poor this but hardly surprising a half fit spinner a seamer who has never looked like taking one.

The fact that left should of scored at least another 50/60 runs but batted so badly from when Bairstow gifted his wicket.

I did say yesterday we needed 400 as a minimum...this track is taylor-made for Smith if he gets in.
At this rate 400 wouldn't make a difference either. The problem isn't the total its the amount of time they have to get to it. It's not really a chase, just a case of bat at a few an over for the full innings and you'll win. There dosent need to be acceleration.

Anyone getting a little nervous here?
Aussies have got this.

Normally you see a collapse in chases like this.

But the pitch is absolutely flat as fuck.

Smith record is rubbish in the fourth innings. But he's amazing at the Oval and this is ready made for him to be not out even if we get past the first two wickets.
