5th test the oval

All to balls they could easily have left. No doubt we’ll get the graphic up soon which shows summit pathetic like 1 in 50 balls would’ve hit the stumps.
Jimmy was just too short, Wood's full ball is meant to be the surprise ball with the batter on the back foot.
Come on Woakes, get that nice length

This is tiresome….Australia are just strolling to winning the series as things stand.
Unless they get bored, I am struggling to see England getting enough wickets to force a win.

Yeah…I know it is just day 2….it is just a feeling I have.

They’ve got us where they want us, they won’t change their tactics, they’ll be more than happy for these two to get to Lunch unscathed even if they only add 30 runs in the session.

Australia playing proper test match cricket
Just what the game of cricket wants in the current climate boring old proper test cricket!!

Looks at the moment the fans who will have paid a fortune to watch the game have been extremely unlucky to hit today when all other days in the series have been great poor souls.

Hope it changes for them

Bazball is only interesting cos it’s a contrast to this. If everyone scored at 5 an over then 5 an over would become boring.
5 an over will always be more interesting and better to watch than 2 an over!

That has always been the case imo, right through from youth cricket, club cricket, county cricket and international cricket

Well before the word ‘Bazball’ was even thought off.

Aussies 2 best batters at the crease this morning in terms of leaving the ball, lads have bowled good this morning just need either a bit more movement or a bit fuller in length (Jimmy)

Dont know like, anyone who had tickets for day 4 and 5 at OT would probably prefer today at the Oval

Not sure. I find this passage of play much better to watch than some T10 shite at 13 an over. I’m enjoying it, dead tense.

Well yeah can’t argue with that any cricket better than no cricket!!

But still would be extremely disappointed paying over 100 quid to watch this when every other day of the series when they has been play has been great to watch

I don’t agree with that. I love our approach but it is an approach that suits our best players. We don’t have enough batsmen good enough to play the way they do. I think this mornings test cricket is top notch.

Well yeah I would agree with that as that to the other extreme.

But as a whole scoring quickly in 4 or 5 day cricket is better watch than scoring slowly in 4 or 5 day cricket imo

For example the county championship this season been a lot better watch than last season due to the influence of Bazball

In general mate in all forms of cricket at all levels in the main I find attacking cricket more entertaining than defensive cricket.

Just my personal preference.
