4th test Manchester

I was being facetious like.

Not you but on cricinfo, people in the last hour talking about a possible declaration tonight when England had parity.

Shouldn't even consider a declaration until a minimum 200 ahead assuming we're not bowled out, preferably 250 ahead. If England don't win from there then Aus either too good or the weather saves them, still three days to go and if we only see 90 overs in those three days and draw then so be it.

Did you f*ck man, you just jumped on to post the only negative thing you could find by highlighting his poor average.
There’s plenty more negative things about Crawley someone could point out 🤣

The question was asked a few posts previous and discussed at numerous points, I thought it would be interesting to some. A few on here are very easily offended today. He’s played well today after playing shite for ages - nothing more to it.

Yes, Carty lad

Not sure on brooks approach here, we should be looking to kick on pretty quickly
Just following on the text commentary. Why are they going slow with the runs? tactics to get in , or good bowling? I really hope rain doesn't screw this test up for us. I thought we would be swinging big now.

EDIT: whens close of play today?

Well that’s how averages work. You get high scores and low scores. Averaging 35 for an opening batsman who bats in English conditions is what you would expect. He’s short of that but it’s improving and he’s having a very good series.
Hopefully he gets a good few more big scores then to sort his average out. Disagree with 35 being acceptable mind - should be around 40 for a competent opening bat.
