4th test Manchester

Anderson wicketless again. Not great have x 2 80mph merchants in a must win test especially in light of how much better the wickets are in England now compared to 10 years ago
You are a right muppet mate. Jimmys just short of 700 test wickets - he’s been absolutely immaculate for us, he’s having a few bad games. Get over it. He’s got a lot of credit in the bank and everyone can be out of form every now and again

This is the first time in my life watching a full test match series. It’s been very good I must say. I know nothing but the absolute basics but I must say what an absolutely fantastic game it is.

40+ years it’s passed me by. I reckon I’d have loved playing if I’d somehow been introduced to it. And class obviously

That short ball wicket has made some people in here look right idiots 🤣

Absolutely class Broad - 600 wickets!
Head has averaged in the 50s and second highest run scorer in the series.

I think he's made us look like idiots tbh.

But delighted for Broady. 600 wickets and most wickets against the Aussies for an England player. Legend.

Used to think cricket was the most boring sport in the world - would throw my head back in disgust when me granda would put it on.

Obviously saw the light as I got older and ever since his passing I make sure to watch it as much as I can with a bottle of his favourite red.

I was coming from a POV of those slagging off the short ball ploy earlier. He’s clearly a good player and he’s allowed to score runs against us - not sure how that makes us look like idiots

Never too late to be cultured mate ;)

I'm not so sure about that - it seems to be the new way of thinking for England to bowl first allied with the belief that they can chase down any total they are set in the fourth innings.

Don't think Stokes has ever won the toss and batted first in Tests in England.
We batted at Edgbaston. How about: Don't think Stokes has ever won the toss and batted first in Tests in England without declaring at tea time.

Because he averaged feck all here last time during his stint in county cricket and Ashes

I know players can get better. As Khawaja has also proved this.

But we've not even looked to try and test Head's outside edge when conditions have been conducive to swing.

He's averaged in the 50s so the short ball plan hasn't worked. He's gotten out to it because you throw enough shit some of it will stick
