I’d rather we went with up and comings - Curran, Sibley, Crawley, Pope are the types id like to get some game time. Think we just need to dispose of some of those that have been round and round, like Buttler etc and have a rebuilding phase where we stick with some kids for a while and let them learn without the pressure of being dropped every 2 tests

Realistically you are never going to bat out a game when your 3 best bats get out after facing something like 20 balls between them. It’s a miracle we’ve took it this deep.

Curran is tricky one he can look ordinary once it stops swinging i guess how much do you rate his batting

Think this is more an indictment of Root than praise for Buttler though. Think our biggest problem is the captaincy, Root has proven he isn’t capable of leading the side and it’s negatively impacted his game. Really though, how can they expect a man who can’t deal with moving from 4 to 3 to cope with a burden like the captaincy?
