Our last home game ended on July 12th. Absolute shambles

Back in the day the ECB and the FA had an agreement and no Cricket was authorised after the end of August and no Football was authorised before the start of September. The football season used to always start on September the 1st unless it was a Sunday.

PS - This was pre WWII and no I can't remember it.
