3rd test - Headingley

It’s been tight all the way though mate all the games could have gone anyway, if we had lost this 3 0 would not have reflected the overall play

Aye I agree in this test. And it has came down to fine margins, some serious sloppy fielding, especially by the WK has been unforgivable at times. And the snails pace bowling by Robinson isn't anywhere near acceptable when you have Wood bowling nigh on 20mph faster

Lessons have been learnt surely . I'd bring Anderson or tongue in for Robinson next. I like Bairstow but his ashes series has been a bit on the abysmal side and should be dropped for Foakes . Calls like this need to be made If England really want to regain these ashes.
Bairstow has probably been my favourite player (bar Stokes) the last few years but you can tell he hasn't played for a year and needs dropping.

Fantastic - positive aggressive approach rewarded
It was a funny one. It wasn't all out Bazball this time, particularly in the second innings, but we still lost at least six wickets to poor shots. But they were certainly positive, in most of the right ways.

Foakes has to keep going forward, apart from anything else Bairstow confidence behind the stumps looks gone

Crawley
Ducket
Root
Brook
Stokes
Foakes (wk)
Woakes
Ali
Wood
Robinson
Broad

Is how I'd have it at OT. Order can be rejigged as not sure who to have at 3.

Bairstow been poor this series and needs to play some county games. Think he will still be on the team sheet though.

Agree - I just don’t think a much slower approach would have guaranteed a win
