So........

Death toll uk today - 215. This represents a drop of 109 from yesterday. Previous saturday stats are as follows.... 282, 468, 345, 621, 843.

Bank holiday lag always makes it a tad more difficult to get accurate daily data therefore only fair to state the current weekly average (Sunday 1st day) is 243. The weekly average last week was 315, previous week 414, previous week 493, 667 and 856.

Region data remains positive

6 new cases in county durham
0 new cases in middlesbrough
1 new case in sunderland
3 new cases in hartlepool
6 new cases in newcastle
5 new cases in stockton
0 new cases in gateshead (3rd day running)
4 new cases in darlington
3 new cases in south tyneside
5 new cases in north tyneside

1 new death in county durham and darlington
0 new deaths in sunderland and south tyneside - note this has remained the case now for 4 recorded days. the death toll in this area was 315 on sunday.
3 new deaths in hartlepool

overall 6 new deaths in the region as a whole.

no death is nice, but overall I'd say the data is positive

It is...but we all know it just won't be good enough for some.
 
I suspect besides the Scientists on SAGE who have spoken up saying its too early to release lockdown, there must be many others too.

Whatever happened to "we are following the science"
