2nd XI - 2022

You can add Carse to that list now.

Surely he must be ready for first team action now.
There will be a plan! Lets see how many overs he bowls in this game. He needs to be able to bowl 20 plus in an innings at this level before he’ll be considered fit enough. Also, the first Xi game starts Thursday. If he plays three or four days for the 2nd Xi this week he’ll not be able to feature at Worcester.

Yes, which probably means not planning to play him at Worcester.

He could leave this game to travel to Worcester on Wednesday to be fair, but if Stokes is available this week then it wouldn’t do Carse any harm to continue his rehab with the Seconds this week.

AWOL not meant to be taken literally.
Reportedly injured after the 1st game but no sign of nor mention of since.
Ah ok, thought you had some ITK info.

DCCC tweeted he had an abdominal injury before the Leicestershire game and he hasn't been seen since.

His fitness is a massive concern. Like Borthwick, it was a bit of a sentimental signing.

Just found it an odd phase of play. Perhaps they want no more than an hour of bowling before Tea?

Or perhaps I’m massively overthinking it all
Second Xi cricket is primarily about time in the middle and giving opportunities. Winning is nice but not the primary objective.
