Is anybody off here going to this Test? 🤔 Bruv and I are doing a day trip, by train, tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it, although a 5.30 alarm, a day on the booze and getting back home at 23.00 means our early kick off on Saturday is a PITA.

I reckon I could have done with the extra 2.5 hours in bed... 🙄

Enrich was the model on how to play opening bowlers. Soft hands, minimum backlift, play as late as possible. Crawley should study video of Edrich innings.
He was decent. Good mentality, he played and missed a lot iirc and it didn’t seem to bother him

Denis Amiss was another decent opener from the same era, more of a stroke player

Yesssss

elgar gone edge c bairstow b broad 12

thank god for that. Broady adjusting his line slightly and that was like Warner , getting out to broad

35 for 2 , deserved as Elgar could easily have gone twice
