Id give these lads the whole Indian series too like. So that they can gel and start to play for each other. No point chopping and changing for the sake of it.

Not sure you can replace Stokes for Plunkett, as Stoke's bowling is still a work in progress. He is competing with Ali IMO, for the same position, as the all rounder

If they want a spinner then they need to sort Monty out, he can't be that hard to handle, sport his full of characters with problems, and it is your job to manage him best you can. They managed to do it with KP for 10 years, even let him back after the text saga.

I just have a gut feeling that if we persevere with Ali, its gonna reap benefits.

Could replace Robson with Stokes and allow Ali to bat at the top of the order?

Edit - particularly if Robson doesn't perform in this Test

I dont think he fancied grafting out the early session this morning in his current form.

We desperately need a proper captain who is willing to take the bull by the horns
