We have just had one, and as I said, English weather means we could easily have another. To categorically state there will not be 2 draws in this series is daft.

Only someone who has never had to make decisions on a cricket pitch would call that a poor declaration. Declaring one or two overs earlier was possible but no-one would have declared earlier than that with a series still on the line. Mate my guess is you have never played cricket in your life its an easy game sitting in front of a TV and not having any accountability.

It's a messageboard - noone here is claiming to be gospel. I have said numerous times its extremely unlikely we will have another drawn test, given:
a) We lost nearly 3 days play here
b) Lords is the most inactive/easiest to bat on pitch of all the pitches we will play on
c) We still very nearly didn't have a drawn game

Therefore, it's safe to assume that there will be a result in the remaining three games, therefore we'd have to win all 3. So being 1-0 or 2-0 down makes no difference, especially not when compared with the potential benefit of going 1-1, which was possible with a few extra overs

That's a poor argument tbf. You don't need to have played cricket to have an opinion on it.

Completely incorrect argument also - pointless discussing things with people when they resort to pettiness. None of us have ever played professional football before either, so should just lock all the Pure Football threads.

Both teams deserve credit for a hell of test match, certainly one of my favourites of all time, due to the amount of time lost and nearly a result was snatched at the end :lol:

Who wins in the situation outlined? Again irrespective of your thoughts on what might happen, who wins in that particular scenario?

Isn't it widely accepted that White balls swing more than red balls? I used to think the red ones did more but google gives me answers like this (last paragraph), plenty of other players have said so as well.
