2ND ASHES TEST: LORDS

Not just the press. Nick Compton scored an inning anchoring 85 off 236 balls in Durban and Bayliss comes out and criticises his scoring rate. Employ a short format coach for test cricket and you will get short format batting.
That was absolutely incredible. Probably the point I lost any faith in Bayliss in red ball cricket.

Let’s hope archer had a blinding debut then. Can see this one being a draw
It will take another full day of rain for this to be a draw. Neither team can bat (apart from Smith).

Can't get the logic in Buttler above Stokes mind, baffling.

I think so do we mind, obviously there have a better spinner, as far as batsman are concerned from 5 to 11 think we a lot better, nowt much between the sides imo and a lot to play for, we can still win the series.
I think we would with an Anderson. Broad and Woakes are very good, Stokes is good but imho they don't compare to Starc, Cummings, Patterson, Hazlewood and Siddle. Siddle gets a bit of disparagement on here but he has a role of locking down one end - And that's an example of having a plan, the Aussies are able to rotate their bowlers and they know what they're doing while we .... have been concentrating on 50 over cricket, for which there was a good reason but for a while Test cricket has been the ginger haired child.

Rory Burns has made 33% of England's runs in this Ashes series so far - in a difficult start to the Test summer for his side, he's been England's most effective player.
