I think the sales will massively slow down once the DD scheme ends, it's quite bizarre that they can't offer this scheme right up until the season cards stop being on sale, you'd just pay the DDs on different months to others, or larger payments over less months ( i know its already down to 3 from 4 ).

Hopefully break 19k today and 20k by next weekend

People need to remember we’re in league 1 FFS (the old 3RD Div)... after 2 back to back relegations !! To achieve 20k season tickets will be tremendous , only 5-6 clubs in the country would in these circumstances and that should show the owners the potential here IF we ever get it right

Bullshit...you go to watch Blunderland play not the Oppo.....surely people will be happier watching us smashing teams rather than getting battered every week.....promotion campaign is better that a Rafagation one....there should be 30k season tickets....

stop trying to reason with the raging "I'm a better supporter than you" types mate, it's pointless.

I’m not convinced people watch us just because we’re in the Premier League. I think the people referred to just watch us when we’re good and successful, generally if that’s the case we’ll be in the Premier, but not always.

Our attendances don’t back that up though do they? I thought our attendances when we’ve been consistently shit and not challenging in the Premiership have always been better than when we’re performing well in the league below.

I’m not sure mate, maybe my memory is clouded by the early division 1 years at the SoL

Absolutely pathetic in the Premier League under Moyes. Relegated. Average crowd 40,000.

Win the Championship under Keano. Average crowd 30,000.

No Future in History, how long does the weeping and wailing last for.........Seems the new Owners more faith in us than Fookin us....

Attendances that season were a bit lopsided and increased over time. With our relegation and subsequent poor start, they began poor around 24,000. When Keane came in they climbed to the 30,000s, although we'd still get about 25,000 for a midweek game. Then, when things really took off and we challenged for the league and had a 17 game unbeaten run, they reached about 40,000.

Finally, for the last home league game of the season, that unforgettable night against Burnley, we got about 44,000.

A lot of fans come to watch a big competition and big opposition. That's why we can get 40000 at home to Man Utd in the Premier League when as good as relegated and 13000 v Shrewsbury in the League Cup when there's actually something riding on the game. It applies at just about every club. Always has, always will.
