A lot of fans come to watch a big competition and big opposition. That's why we can get 40000 at home to Man Utd in the Premier League when as good as relegated and 13000 v Shrewsbury in the League Cup when there's actually something riding on the game. It applies at just about every club. Always has, always will.

I Fookin knaa as does BERB, But our core support should be well over 30k now and with the terms on offer they should whack in the DD now, there is no downside and will send a mahoosive message to wa new gaffers, the Footy world and the Fookwit that is our lord and master, Mackem Martin....Dowofeee

Bullshit...you go to watch Blunderland play not the Oppo.....surely people will be happier watching us smashing teams rather than getting battered every week.....promotion campaign is better that a Rafagation one....there should be 30k season tickets....
you're living in cloud cuckoo land , not everyone has the cash and alot are so pissed off with how they've been taken for mugs in recent years , i still say people will return but just need bit more persuasion yet, that just my opinion going on the group i go around with , but for me to achieve 20k season tickets in league 1 is a very good sign after the dross served up in recent years and more importantly how the supporters were made to feel completely alienated from the club

I no agree, if ye can't get a bone about the new regime, ye haven't got a bone......get the DD, just cancel SKY, a couple of trips to ASDA/Home Bargains or Tiffany's acting classes.........

And stop Fooking whining about the Fookin past for Fooks sake.....

Our core support has never been 30k. People are cautiously optimistic about this new regime. We don't know how it might turn out but no doubt they've put 3/4k on the season card sales as I very much doubt we'd have topped 15k if Short had still been here. If we can get up to 20k season cards by the start of the season we could be looking at crowds of around 25k for next season, maybe nudging 30k for some games after Xmas if we're storming the league (I think we will!) which is very good going for 3rd Division football.

You not got houses to shift in the arse end of Newcastle?

...........says the bloke who's mithering about our current attendances compared to previous seasons....................

Merely benchmarking boyo, based upon the potential of the new regime, price, DD...

Which part of "We should be hitting 30k season tickets" you not understand glasshopper.....

Our core support is 15000. Look at cup games.

Fans over estimate our support base frankly.
