We both have busy pre season fixtures but if this was played in the right manner with respect and rivalries aside (no injures or reds) even with 'b' teams i think this would be an amazing touch from the NE

Ive been scratching my head all day as to why the fuck public planes are flying over such a conflict where they are shooting PLANES out of the sky FFS!

Either the people advising its safe to do so are responsible or Malaysia Airlines are.

They are at war practically and are well known that both sides have surface to air missiles that can reach 20000 meters what did they think was gonna happen.

Its a fuckin disgrace man, someone needs to be held accountable this should not have happened at all.

The people who should be 'held accountable' are those that fired the missile.

Hundreds of flights a day fly over Iraq and Syria. Who's to blame for that?

Thats never gonna happen though, it seems its a mistaken identity of a plane and whoever fired it thought it was a Ukrainian plane and their fighting a war with the weapons they have.

Admittedly its a massive mistake but i doubt they meant to bring down a passenger plane.

Problem is its always the fuckin idiots firing weapons that reach 20000 meters.

Doesnt matter how you look at it but it should not have happened so i blame the people who could of prevented it IMO

As a civilian from another country you have no idea that this can happen but experts in aviation and warfare know it can.

Now everyone knows it can

So what's the solution? The aviation authorities should shut down flight paths over conflict zones?

75% of global flight paths closed off. Yeah, that's a great idea.
