He made an horrific decision to appoint Moyes (in hindsight), so yes, I agree.

What I don't agree with, is we will fail whoever the manager is as long as Short is here - that is just pure shite.
You been in a coma mate? You might want to check the past few years and read down the list of managers we've had here.

Yes. I'm sure a rushed sale definitely won't come back to bite us on the arse.

Does it matter if the sale takes 10 days or a year?

Do you think Short will be looking for a buyer with the club's interest at heart? Short will care about one thing - trying to get back as much of the money he's wasted as possible. Why does the speed of the sale matter?

£30m and a team that took 27 points from 19 games at the end of last season.

Surely from that starting point, he should have got more than 2 points from 10 games?
Keep on hearing about £30 f***ing million how much did Villa spend last year ? £40m ? When you're as shit as us ((gifted 6pts off Chelsea and Everton to keep us up) then £30m doesn't go far especially when values and wages have gone through the roof

I imagine that he still holds some affection for the club. I think it hasn't worked out how Quinny told him it could but I don't think for one second he doesn't have our best interests at heart

 I'm no fan of Short, but the critics have moved on from "he doesn't back the managers" to "he's ran the club into the ground", all the while not realising the latter is a result of him doing the opposite of the former.

It's been done to the death on here relentlessly but that's bullshit.

He has not backed managers - or made them work with one hand behind their back. This results in us doing shit. He panics, sacks the manager, hires a new one, panic buys, and then once we're safe, fails to back managers again. It's the cycle that keeps happening.

You can fail to back the managers properly, in the short term, which results in more costs and inefficiency in the long run.

Allardyce did okay. It was only 6 months ago.

The rest were shite, past it or not interested.

Plenty of clubs spent less and stopped up though.

I think by this point he probably feels we're a burden more than anything. If he could get the figure he wants but the sale was to a suspect owner I would be absolutely amazed if he said no. I doubt even the most ardent Ellis supporters on here think he would either.

Allardyce for one. Sacking Bruce is another.

MON was one we were all in favour of at the time, so we can't hold that against him either.

Well done, in his whole 8 year in charge you've come up with 3 decisions and one of them is debatable. Cap doffed....
