I know a lad that works in ICU and covid ward's.

Says that the last week up until Thursday was great, bed's emptying and having some breathing space. Since Thursday night they've been filling back up again and now as busy as ever with Covid cases.

Not sure if that's reflected in the figures but he's massively pessimistic that it's going back the other way. Understandable given what they've been through in the last 2 years.

Figures looking predominantly green is always a nice sign!

No you don't.

I don't believe that you know someone in ICU and I think you're talking shit.
OK, bizarre. Why would I lie? I've hardly posted something 'out there'

Don't really get involved on the stats threads as I haven't a clue what's going on and struggle to interpret what it all means in terms of positive or negative other than the green and reds but thought I'd pass on what he said having seen him earlier for the first time in months.

He's not a close friend or anything and of course he could be exaggerating the truth to make things sound worse etc.

Apologies if this has upset you.

Got to admit those deaths are a kick in the teeth, assuming they aren't historical. Hopefully they will start to mirror the cases sometime this week.

I think you'll be most upset out of all the posters on here when this place becomes more or less redundant. Gives you no place to pontificate to people with your posters. Im putting this mildly here but your undoubtedly a bit of a mentalist
I knew bog roll rob “Robert the enabler” would be ARLLL owa my post hahhaa

its great to have politicians and media focus on the drop in cases ( from record high levels ) and hospitalisation's as brilliant positives with the supporting narrative of " its milder " without the realisation that of a much greater number the lag of deaths will probably last longer and still result in a significant amount of deaths ! But lets not focus on that and instead look forward to all covid restrictions being finished aswell as the pandemic come March !

By that time the narrative will be still look how far the cases have dropped and deaths aren't a metric we need to consider or we can't spin in any positive way so we"ll ignore that despite it still being at least a hundred people a day

Spin and media bias is ruining so much in this country
