Time to talk was after they appointed someone
Every time he does something like this it just chips away at the credibility of KLD too.

Time to talk was after they appointed someone
This is the problem, the statement says something, a lot of fans read it as something completely different.Another pr disaster from the club. Saying management decision imminent when they haven’t got someone in place. Absolute amateurs
That in itself is a bit poo, if you dissect the statement. That's the problem, he didn't say anything really.
They didn't even say that, they said they hoped it was imminent
They wheeled Bruce out before this and we had the 'dont talk about football' supporter meeting. PR is worse than ever and it doesn't look like things are going to get better anytime soon unless a big rabbit is pulled from a hat.Lessons aren't being learned that's for sure.

That's because ownership should never publicly say they 'hope' for anything. Just do it or don't!This is the problem, the statement says something, a lot of fans read it as something completely different.
It's like the word "imminently" wipes all memory of what came just before it.

I can’t seriously believe it, it’s so illogical. There has to be something more, like just wages/signings input. It doesn't even need changing that much but if they're insisting on Dodds and Proctor being assistant and 1st team coach they're getting it massively wrong.
It's just mental
He should never have released a statement, he's just heaped even more pressure on himself.
You'd want someone good enough to improve us but that's unlikely at present. With all this going on our recruitment will suffer. They had a full summer last year to plan ahead and failed miserably. God knows how this fiasco will effect this yearUnless it’s a manager dressed like a bugs bunny even that rabbit may not be enough

What I can’t understand is Wednesday can find a coach like Rohl in no time and sort it all out.
No idea, but the longer the club is in flux, the more any decent existing players maybe thinking time for a fresh challenge, then we have a summer of wheeling and dealing to do. Just no stability or direction atm as we just float alongYou'd want someone good enough to improve us but that's unlikely at present. With all this going on our recruitment will suffer. Agree, they should just ignore the noise and get it done. That's because ownership should never publicly say they 'hope' for anything. Just do it or don't!
I’ve heard “putting Dodd’s development” as a priority but it makes absolutely no business or competitive sense whatsoever. Like none!.Logon or register to see this image

It half makes sense if they thought it would force Still’s arm. Like showing how serious they were. Then they should’ve just said “we hope to announce a new manager” which clearly isn’t positive, so they should’ve just said nothing.
If we lose much more than Clarke we're going down. Even with Clarke away we need to replace him and get other holes in team filled. A huge amount of work to do and any new man should have input. No idea, but the longer the club is in flux, the more any decent existing players maybe thinking time for a fresh challenge, then we have a summer of wheeling and dealing to do. Exactly, he might be a really good coach, but unfortunately because of decisions made by the owner/speakman, he stinks of failure. If we are losing out on candidates because they are insisting on sticking with The Model and our backroom staff then it's absolutely crackers.I’ve heard “putting Dodd’s development” as a priority but it makes absolutely no business or competitive sense whatsoever. Like none!
The only thing that makes SOME sense is he’s here until Bellingham’s gone but even that’s a stretch.
I can only assume their opinion is Dodds as a coach will he here longer than any Head Coach for continuity but even that is absolutely mental.
It doesn't need to be positive. I agree with your second point, the statement has achieved nowt, so why say it?Then they should’ve just said “we hope to announce a new manager” which clearly isn’t positive, so they should’ve just said nothing.
I think it LOOKS that way because nobody’s come up with a better reason for why.If Dodds is the priority above all else... why???
He’s done well in a short time at qpr, it’s passed the point of anything believable in the betting martket now mindIF (massive Alan Nixon sized "if") the story is true that compensation would be less than £1m, then that would be money well spent.
