Mustard and Onions return. Coetzer included in a 13 man squad in case Di Venuto fails a fitness test following his back spasm...... I think Durham need to get a overhaul of their medical staff! Or stop recruiting from the same place as SAFC!

No idea if Warwickshire have any injuries or returnees. Their side against Worcester was - V Chopra, IJ Westwood, WTS Porterfield, Mohammad Yousuf, JO Troughton*, R Clarke, RM Johnson†, CR Woakes, AG Botha, AS Miller, WB Rankin. Be a stern test, Chopra is on fire with the bat and they've got some handy bowlers. No doubt Trott and Bell being missing is a bonus for us.

Ever the optimist, I'll go for a Durham victory. No idea how many runs/wickets by mind, see what the pitch does tomorrow first!
 

Claydon and Richardson to be left out I reckon from last weeks game.

Very harsh on Richardson that he's been dropped after 2 good games. I thought he might get a spot as a specialist batsman when the colonel came back.
 
Interesting game and a one that we really need to win. We have played one more game than everyone else and after this game a quarter of the season will be gone - amazingly!

Agree with Brandon about this being a stiff test. We need Chopra out asap.

Onions will hopefully prove to be the difference as he probably would have been against Sussex when we had them wobbling at 149 for 4.

Are Bell and Trott definitely not playing? Surely the England players need to be playing soon before the internationals start.

Chopra - 23 c Stokes b Brathwaite
Westwood - 47 c Richardson b Thorp
Porterfield and Yousuf the men not out at the moment.

Stokes has gone for 22 off his 2 overs so far.
 
Has rain stopped play cricinfo and the bbc websites are saying 116-3 been like that for about an hour and a half

he is a very poor bowler tbh not particually quick and usually bowls short and wide. He will have more bad days bowling the way he does than good. He needs to learn to bowl economically particually at the pace he bowls.

I agree, he will never be picked by England as an all-rounder with his bowling in it's current state, he should either sideline it and really tighten up his batting, or as you say, learn to bowl economically so he could be useful at ODI level with the ball.
 
have Durham been hampered by the good weather, usually you get damp green tops until June meaning our seam attack makes hay, but we are struggling to bowl sides out at the minute as we lack a class spinner
