He seems full of them.

I've made it clear that I've never looked for trouble in 40 years of support, never been a member of a gang and never hit anyone who wasn't a threat to me ......... yet he labels me a hooligan.

I'm not, I'm a bloody good fan.

you didnt see their main firm then, all big lumps, total f***ing lunatics that few would fancy fighting

Depends where you come from mate.....a few kids who've had a few decent dinners...nowt special...but no...this lot weren't all 'big lumps'...old lads....30s 40s....but not 'big lumps' by any stretch of the imagination....

I was at Boro for the league cup game....and most shit out...with a few skin heads giving it a go....

Result in Scotland as well A.B. their main lad came up to the lads in the station and congratulated them for getting a result which was something Leeds hadn't managed the season before.
who? William f***ing Wallace?

stop humouring the mad fucker

You're right mate, do you remember when Chelsea were banned from Roker and some of them found their way into the Mainstand?
One big mouthy lad in a pale yellow Pringle jumper thought he'd blend in with 800 Sunderland lads in donkey jackets outside the ground

A real 'fashion victim'.

Never been one to get involved, it's not for me at all, but that lot don't exactly strike fear in to my clogged up heart.

They were the best firm in Scotland for a long time marra, and they'd kicked seven kinds of shite out of Leeds the season before we went up.
For our lot to drink wherever we wanted in their city unopposed and when we did finally meet them scatter the bastards was a hell of a result.

i had one it had FRENCH on the back of it,the thing was i'm not FRENCH but i worked for a firm called FRENCH the confusion it caused was quite amusing..

Milk cup final 85? My dad was there that day, said it was one of the scariest things he's ever seen. His mate ended up on the line and one of the Chelsea lot told him to get back on the platform as they "didn't want any deaths"

What's yer dad's initials ? There were only 7 of us down ther and one of those is sadly dead !

It was always funny walking around outside London grounds in a donkey jacket with the locals wondering if there was building work going on at the ground ........ made it harder to hide like

There you go again with your pathetic and incorrect assumptions, I was there in the same stand as you and was well aware that some of the Luton fans were far from happy. It's all very well hiding behind a child but you know, full well, that it was the home section.

Presumably you obtained your tickets under false pretences which isn't really a good example to set to your 8 year old.

Despite what you say this was the home section and you should know that a mixture of opposing fans, in what was a terrible day for Luton and a huge celebration for Sunderland, was always likely to produce raised emotions.

If you don't appreciate that you're a bigger idiot than I suspected.

Riviera, your one of my favourite posters, probably cos I'm not as old as you I think, approaching 40, but my mind is shot and I get things mixed up all the time- too many e's and coke on match days messing me about before I grew bored of it all.
However you will know Sunderland fans will go to great lengths to watch a match and I'm really suprised you think theyres anything wrong with taking kids in the wrong end if you can't get tickets. I've been to loads of games when we've had at least 100+ sometimes 1000+ in the wrong end, not to cause bother, just to watch games. IMHO nowt wrong with it at all

no but if you do it you knowingly put yourself at a degree of risk. vs luton anyone could tell you there would be some trouble so taking a kid into their end isnt the smartest thing to do. not that he was telling the truth ofcourse

At times like that you just stay quiet. I wasn't at Luton, but I remember seeing it on tv highlights. Looked like hundreds in the middle jumping up and down singing thru the match.
Lutons men in gear were a canny firm like, so I would presume anyone taking their bairn in would know the score
