:)

One problem for Enrique is that two of his Spanish-speaking teammates, £12.5m Fabricio Coloccini and £5.7m Xisco, were photographed by a Newcastle fan on the Tube after the match laughing and joking.
Their anger or embarrassment at being beaten 6-1 by a team of free transfers seemed short-lived.

The overwhelming embarrassment that has consumed Newcastle United is chugging along with no end in sight. What now, you ask? Well, they finally released their terrible away kit yesterday and just three people — as in, one person plus one person plus one more person — queued up to buy it.

Making the situation even worse is the fact that the club even went so far as to make the offer shown above, giving any poor sap who buys this horrid thing 20% off right away — marking perhaps the first time ever an item has been reduced in price the very second it went on sale.

So which tortured souls actually made it a priority to get this striped banana kit as soon as they could? Well, the Northern Echo quotes the first man in the queue, an 18-year-old named Stephen Watson from Gateshead, as saying:

“I don’t even like the shirt but I’m a Newcastle fan so I am still happy to buy it.

“Now I’ve actually got my hands on it though I think I might wear a jumper on top of it.”

That might just be the most depressing thing I’ve ever heard in my life. Seriously. Whoever designed this kit should probably be put on suicide watch right now. Though only after they’re sacked from their position as a kit designer.

But, come on, Stephen. Even if it is 20% off, why would you buy a shirt that you would only wear under something else? That’s like buying a painting to hang in your closet.
