I don't think FIFA will exist in 2038. They've always been corrupt, but the level of corruption they're operating to now isn't sustainable. The big brands pay around £150m to sponsor it, and if this World Cup descends into farce you might see a few big brands fall away between now and the atrocity that Saudi 2034 promises to be. Christ alone knows how many poor slaves will die building those stadiums.

Saudi are cutting back on all sports projects they might slim this one down a lot too

You'd probably be looking at Aus + Wellington & Auckland + Jakarta + KL

So you'd be looking at a Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Indonesia joint bid (maybe add in Singapore as well).

Which sounds silly but not as silly as a Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay like in 2030.

When I was a bairn and first heard of the continent rotation rule I was absolutely buzzing thinking there’d one day have to be a world cup played in Oceania with the final on some 500 seater park on Tuvalu or something. Shame.

I don't see how the rotation of continents is corruption. If it was kept between the bigger nation within UEFA and COMNEBOL corruption would still happen. Italy got it in 1934 during Mussolini's reign. The 1978 World Cup was given to Argentina whilst under a dictatorship. I can't recall any corruption when South Korea and Japan bid for the World Cup.

Not quite correct. While Argentina was awarded the 1978 WC in 1966. It became a dictatorship in 1976.
Spain was awarded the 1982 WC in 1966 while a dictatorship but was a democracy when they hosted it.
