I don't think FIFA will exist in 2038. They've always been corrupt, but the level of corruption they're operating to now isn't sustainable. The big brands pay around £150m to sponsor it, and if this World Cup descends into farce you might see a few big brands fall away between now and the atrocity that Saudi 2034 promises to be. Christ alone knows how many poor slaves will die building those stadiums.

I don't see how the rotation of continents is corruption. If it was kept between the bigger nation within UEFA and COMNEBOL corruption would still happen. Italy got it in 1934 during Mussolini's reign. The 1978 World Cup was given to Argentina whilst under a dictatorship. I can't recall any corruption when South Korea and Japan bid for the World Cup.

They bid for it for 2022. It looked the best bid but with it being in their winter and our summer, there might have been clashes with other sports. That was one of the reasons the vote went against them. Yet Qatar bid on 2022 being a summer tournament but moved it to a winter one.

Yep. It should've been England 2018 and Australia 2022 instead of the corrupt bids from Russia and Qatar.
Sadly I have conceded that there won't be another World Cup in England in my lifetime, probably 2066 will be the next time we get it.
