Disney world Florida

I went and saw big boss of my place and explained what might happen he was sound with it but if leave could seriously cause issue.
It wouldn't effect my job at all, it might be an issue for my wife, but I think the next big one we would be looking for after Orlando would be Tokyo so it would be a few years away. We will pacify with cheaper week away at European destinations during half terms in the meantime.

The amount of times we’ve priced up Tokyo is mental. Must do it monthly just don’t pull the trigger. I reckon it be once eldest hits senior school as the absence will have reset and we can start again 😂

We been looking at little European jaunts during holidays but prices are mental and keep thinking for a couple extra quid we could do there weeks in Orlando.
We’re gonna get back to Efteling in summer and maybe take in europa park or phamtasialand on another trip. We’re at Paris in August for a week so that’ll scratch the Disney itch for a few more months too.

we've been watching the various blogs on youtube and we might do it later, go after opening but stay to right at park closing when lots of people have started to make their way home. Looking at the queue times on the app, that stuff in mario land gets relatively quite later in the day, i guess as it's target audience are worn out and want to leave.
Was there in late october with early entry, we decided to leave HP to the end of the day. Used the early entry to do mario kart then left that area for later as well. Gripe at the time was there seems to be just not quite enough rides (or food stalls) for the volume of people - especially when comparing overall wait times to the other universal parks - I know epic is obviously brand new. Went on the carousel with the youngest early when it was quite as well and later the queue was almost 100mins, not a chance I'd have stood that long for it.

Yoshi queue was big late on and whilst the youngest loved it I wasn't impressed given the wait. Only ride we didn't make it on was mine-kart madness.

Oldest (9 at the time) thought stardust racers was one of the best rides of all the parks across disney and universal.

If the kids ages allow you to stay the full day right up to closing I'd recommend.

I am hoping by next May when we go it will have started to ease off from the new park everyone is aiming for. Though that maybe wishful thinking.

I think minecart madness is the one with the worst queue time and the amount that it is down for seems high too. So I wouldn't be surprised if we end up skipping that one too. Stardust racers is supposed to be good, and even better at night. My daughter will be too small for it, so we will probably go on it solo but the queue time for it doesn't seem that bad.

Yeah, minecart was down several times when we were there.
Stardust races actually went down when we were at the front of the queue...some numpty had gone on with either untied shoes or flipflops and one had come off mid ride!

The current wife having withdrawals from the mouse so is pricing up daily in hope I say yes  I still wanna put trip off till a least 66% of the boards are down in the parks.

We have booked up for summer 2027 this weekend. Last there last year. Looking forward to it.
We were there around this time last year and think photos popping up on wife's phone so it's triggering her to book up. She looking at April/may/June as that been time when we usually go but I fancy going backend of year. DLP over xmas was mint and wouldn't mind WDW in the sun at xmas.

Booked for April (pop century) and September (All Star Music) next year.
Looking for a cheeky week on International drive this year.
We’re hampered by the schools fines at minute when comes to booking up. Trying to work out sickness, absence, unauthorised absence, fines, fine dates and prices I’m all for keep taking fine and court somedays then others I’m like nah let’s just go holiday period. Then I see prices and back on give me that child neglect ruling 😂

Pop Century is where we have booked. Last year we did half Pop Century and half Universal but we felt that while the Universal hotel was nice (arguably nicer tbh), it felt a bit characterless in comparison and we all missed the Disney hotel, so this time we are just staying there and on the days we do any of the Universal parks we’ll just Uber it up or something.

I thought you got away with it before.
Been fined twice now for eldest. The last letter for fine stated the three years are from the payment date not issue date. So technically without her being poorly stick with holiday period for the next 30 odd months. Though I’m hoping when she moves school it resets so we can bugger off to Tokyo.

Youngest starts nursery soon but the head in that school prefers kids to be “poorly” so she’ll be fine for next three years.

Has the Rose & Crown not been turned into a Spoons yet?
Needs to be a spoons but have the 11 hour happy hour like millers.

It doesn't reset for school moves, unfortunately. You'll be ok with sick to an extent as it's classed as authorised, unless the overall attendance is really low.

Nursery is fine to miss, no fines there. Same for reception until they turn 5.

Thinking about signing kids over to me parents for 5 months so they get the fines instead 😂
