Yeah I had the call couple of weeks ago and bought a ticket in the south stand, 3 seats away from my son.

I’d been on the list since last year.
If you are in the same row surely the two in between you will move along one to allow you to sit together. Bit different if you are 3 seats behind him like.😂
Easier to get through to the king than it is to speak to a human in our ticket office.
No true like. My wife and I were lucky enough to get two season tickets in the mad scramble a few weeks back. Mainly because some superstar on here had posted images of which sections pairs of seats were going to be available.

Both seats were allocated in my name but it only took 10 minutes to get through to a lady in the ticket office and sort it out.

Suppose it depends if they have ocd about their own seats, or it's their "lucky" seat of sorts. Takes all sorts.
 
There’s 15,000 on it at the minute and they are currently working their way through it in order of those who registered first, they’ll ring you and you get so many days to make a decision, if not they move onto the next person
Whereas there is 3m screaming jawdees on their list
 
I received a call on Tuesday whilst in a work’s call so couldn’t really spend long on the phone (went off camera and on mute, quickly) and asked if there were plenty of seats available (they said there was) and if I could get back to them asap. I was told I had 24 hours.
As soon as I was done, I tried to call 5 times and was directed tit he ticket office, it rang several times then went dead every time. I thought I’d just go down the following morning and it was closed. I then went down Thursday morning, to be told the 24 hours was up. If I’d only just fucked the work call off.

After contacting Asksafc, they have told me I only had 24 hours and that the home lines were staffed throughout, which is frankly untrue.

Fuck sake man they’re a shambles, aye in hindsight you’ll be kicking yourself for not f***ing off the work call but why should you? You trusted them in that you could sort it in 24 hours and they’re just totally incapable of offering a decent service

That’s the thing mate, she said I had 24 hours and I had plenty of time in the afternoon to call so did, 5 times.
Aye, I really am kicking myself and should have gone to the office as well but never thought to check they were closed on a Wednesday. It’s my own fault but they’re not being entirely truthful saying the phone lines were staffed all the way through as they clearly weren’t and there wasn’t even a function to leave a message, it just went blank.

When I was downtown he ticket office yesterday I asked the lady if I could upgrade my step dad’s ST as he was knocked over last year and struggles with the stairs so he said he’d be quite happy for it to go in my name - he@/ in his 70s now and finds it hard due to the above ailment.
I was told to contact Ask.safc - I asked to speak to the ticket office manager and was told I had to do that instead. I was told no via email despite the fact the ticket office manager told me I could do that in November, after my carry-on last season so I thought I’d wait until this summer to do it. He 100% said I could and you can do it at Newcastle, for example. I was next in line so why not?

They rang me and said pretty much the same. I’d put that I wanted 2 and she said the only place I’d get them together was the front rows which I wasn’t keen on. She also said they’d need paying in a one-er not DD so that put me off too. Didn’t ask for prices but imagine an adult is £600 now so was all a bit short notice. Slept on it and decided against. We’ll probably get champions league next year now 😂 but having read your post I’m sort of pleased I hadn’t decided to do it but then had the chew on you’ve had. It’s like they don’t want people’s money at times.

Agree it’s one area that is still very poorly run , getting Chelsea tickets was a shambles also
