The Waiting List

Has anyone answered the OP’s question yet? I put my name on the list last year, after seats together for son and myself, got a call at 4am a few weeks back when I was in California on holiday, rudely woke me up, I was so disorientated I think I asked them to call me back later. They didn’t 🤦‍♂️

Wife's cousin got a call back end of last week offering them a seat. They only wanted one so had a bit of choice

Had 24 hours to decide then onto the next if you said no

Like I said though, that isn't what happened. They allowed loads to log on to the site at the same time and had a free for all for seats.

Whether you were 1 in the queue or 1,000. They all got access at the same time with a link.

Only the last few weeks have they tried to get rid of the last few straggler seats by ringing around.
Ok but that has gone and sounds like an open sale not a waiting list and now it is a waiting list . ? Or isn't there a list ? ,the op thinks there is .posts suggest there's a list

But that was how they sold the remaining tickets to the waiting list. A free for all where number in the queue didnt matter.

Thats been my whole point about it being half arsed and needing to be properly set up.

I don't understand what you arent getting about my initial posts on it.

:eek:OOPS...you telt the bairn how you fucked up his chance of a season ticket yet

Used to have one in there myself. It took so long to get out after the game that I'd think twice about leaving if there were two home games in a row.
Superb stuff.

East Stand opposite the dugout is even worse. Me and my mate asked to move STs before Xmas in the SOLs first season because of it. It’s a safety risk.

There was originally a waiting list , let’s say you got a number 1 - 10,000 depending on when you registered for a season ticket .
First night was meant to be those 1 - 2,000…. They cocked up and opened it to anybody to buy so loads sold within minutes (all pairs went) and the site crashed . The site never went back up.
Since then they have just rang people to try shift the few singles tickets left (all pairs went ). Was a balls up

I was second row from the back in North stand lower, in line with the 18 yard box and every other area was pretty much clear and there would still be hundreds of us trying to get down the stairs.

When reading that, before I got to the ‘on holiday in California’ bit, I thought our ticket office had been ringing people at 4 in the morning . Wouldn’t have even surprised me either.

Why did that method get phased out?
not as many people people go shopping, I reckon. Could be wrong.
Do they try and ring people on the list more than once then or is it just one shot and that's it?
same thing happened to me last year for a hernia op. Missed a call, rang them back within about 3 minutes, but they'd given my place to someone else. Another 4 months I had to wait. One shot and that's it.
