Southampton spying compendium thread

This is it for Southampton as a club I think. They failed to act in the window that would’ve preserved at least a shred of their reputation
It’s hard to imagine any club handling the whole situation any worse than Southampton have right from the outset.

They are coming across as horrible, arrogant and crass. As mentioned by others, I hope the FA investigation uncovers more. You wonder what else they might be up to if the culture from the top is as rotten as this scandal seems to be exposing.

If they keep him then every press conference will be journos asking Eckert 'Do you accept that you are a cheat?'. There's no chance he wasn't aware it was against the rules, the interns even knew and it's not like Eckert has never worked in England before - he was assistant manager at Barnsley for 18 months a couple of years ago before joining Southampton.

Makes you wonder what other clubs got up to, Southampton can’t be the only ones to get up to dirty tricks like this. Not sure if the EFL really wants to lift the lid any further though

Just been listening to their owner on BBC. He basically said the punishment was ridiculously excessive for what they had done and the manager isn't being sacked as he deserves a second chance. WTF?
They should be asked to open up all of their training sessions to opposition analysts in the week before each game.

Eckert definitely has the receipts that the owners knew like. In absolutely any other situation or club he'd have been gone following the judgement.
This for me, they all f***ing knew and got exactly what they deserved. The lad could still get a ban anyway so they can say they’re keeping him but he may get a year ban himself from the sport. I’m starting to think a fair few knew about all.

The stuff coming from the interns shows they knew. They supposedly said they were uncomfortable with the cheating and got WhatsApp’s saying the boss was over the moon with what they got etc. The clubs seems rotten from top to bottom and it feels like four points and getting kicked out of the playoffs maybe a light punishment.They’ve.probably been up to all shorts.
