Is international footy crap or am I getting old?

It's not crap at tournaments, bit qualifying and friendlies have always been boring apart a few exceptions. Even 'back in the day' this was the case.

Loved WC way back. Less and less as time goes on. Footy is on so much now whereas when I was a kid it was FA cup final and England games and that was it.
Too much of a good thing and arl that

Plus the odd game I've watched in PL or whatever , theres about 3 or 4 fecking commentators who are all shite , and a studio full of blurts prattling on
I agree. Too much football on TV now. I was only saying on Saturday that the European finals were always the highlight of the season. It was the only time you got to see the big name players. Now you see them every week on TV. The same with the World Cup.

I never watched it in truth. I did watch the champ playoffs ( god they were bad though) but zero interest in anything other than us, as yeah, it's done to death.

Thing is , the more games, the more hours of waffling pundits , and it becomes relentless

Football is generally way better in terms of fitness and skill than it ever was.

International football has always been a bit crap until we get into the big tournaments and then its brilliant.

I feel that the football gets in the way for pundits. It seems to be all about them rather than the actual game.

Euro 96 was the last time I had any interest in the national team, found the likes of john Terry and Wayne Rooney very unlikeable and therfore very hard to cheer on, club football all the way for me.

the World Cup and euros are class
International footy at any other time is crap
I always preferred the Euros when it was 16 teams. That was the perfect amount plus the games are on at reasonable times. But the 24 team format has weakened it. Too many games. This World Cup will be the same with 48 teams. I still be watching but sometimes less is more.

Euro 2008 and 2012 were great tournaments.

the underachievement wore me dowm and i stopped bothering years ago...watched the semis and finals we got to recently but not much else....prefer to watch random other int games if at all
