I would have happily gone through early and had something to eat and drink if it was not so grim. Sadly it was a brisk walk to the venue and no money into the local economy except for parking.

If I had any financial interest in a 'night time' business in Stockton, I'd be battering down the Council/Police's doors to get them to pro-actively address this problem.

Which bars are decent?

The script just booked for November (the kids love them) and Paul Heatons just announced a tour as well so I'll be all over that.

They were at one time my daughter’s favourite band so I have listened to them a lot and seen them live a few times. They know their audience and don’t take themselves too seriously so it’s good fun for me but I understand why they aren’t for everyone.

Aye maybe i'm showing a bit of small minded judgemental ignorance there mate :D .. let's face it there's some right dumps in Sunderland even though it's on the up.

Not only is The Globe a class venue, it suited KRAFTWERK down to the ground IMO

I quite liked the first album. Lyrics were quite funny. Usually about getting dumped. Nice to drive along to. Felt sorry for the singer and his woes !😂

He is friends with my friend,arlo(mlf)who is putting gig on. He kips at his when he plays up here. He is recording the support band ,oko oko at the minute. They are really good,sound a bit like pentangle

Enjoyed the evening and thought the venue worked well, busy but not overcrowded. I nabbed one of the 3 available 'seats' for the first 2 acts, next to the sound bloke and was happy to stand at the back for Edgar, though only because I'm tall. The palettes they used for a stage weren't really enough when he was sat down for his whole set.

Was talking to someone after Richard Dawson who said they won't go there for fear of breathing in the mould spores - it's quite impressive! Hopefully not actually a cause for concern as my lad is meant to be playing there in July!

Aye music was decent but I was penned in at back so couldn't see much. The mould on the walls looked very realistic.

There needs to be a permanent visible police presence to make them feel uncomfortable
Saying that the police station is right next to the main street
