Forthcoming gigs.

Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy at the Fire Station just announced this morning - almost fell off my chair with excitement. Massive coup for Sunderland music, I’d say (but then I would, given he’s been my avatar on here for 20 years or so). 14th November, which is a Saturday, so it won’t clash with a European match

Partnership with the cluny!!!

Thought I wasn't going to make that gig tonight, but I did. First time I've seen them, fantastic gig and a decent venue.
Yeah first time for me too, been a fan for years.

Went with our boy, he saw them at The City Hall in 1981 when he was 14 haha

Loved The Globe, would definitely go again

Been to one gig at the globe, it's fantastic, we had a lass who is 1 inch over the height of a dwarf and she had no issues with the view, getting a pint or anything, Stockton is a bit rough mind

Lottery Winners/Scouting for Girls/The Lilacs at Leigh Sports Village tomorrow.
Ticket was bought last Friday when the weather forecast looked decent so I’m hoping that it is dry but not too hot.

Off to see A Perfect Circle in London next Thursday, All Them Witches (amazing live) in Bristol on 20th June, and Agnes Obel in London on 21st July...can't wait. Enjoy your gigging folks.

Aye we thought it looked a bit ropey haha, Stockton in general i mean, but The Globe was excellent

Aye, it 'crashed' :D
This is gonna hold the venue back imo, i live in Stockton :p , and there are decent bars in the town centre (trust me!) - but if your just visiting the Globe and the High Street your not likely to wander off and be able to find them without walking thru the town centre delinquents

Anyway one good venue to another, Corella at Ku tonight, should be good:cool:

Couldnt get away with scouting for girls like but otherwise sounds decent if sun is shining!

I enjoy The Globe, Arc and Georgian Theatre. All different, catering for a wide range of artists/events. I'm never sure where to park and am always uneasy whether it's in a decent area as I don't know the town. There seems to be lots of free parking in the evening but I usually use the little car park next to Arc even though it costs money.

I used to visit Stockton with my parents as it was a 'go to' shopping destination back in the day. Now, although a lot of money appears to have been spent, I would have absolutely no desire to visit other than for gigs/shows. They need to move on the utter scum who seem to hang around the fountain area on an evening as I'm sure it puts people off.

Thats exactly the issue - the town centre and its surrounding areas are all proper shite and inhabited by smackheads mainly

Some nice little bars around the Georgian mind
