Looks strong as a bull still, but we'd be fools to put too many miles on the clock, 2 or 3 games a week is a grind even for the youngsters, once we hit those phases the squad will hardly be training at allLegs going?

if only we had signed that 21 year old Noah Sadiki lad last summer... we are already being linked with the sort of experienced player that would help pick up some slack from rotating Xhaka out of the team every so often (Kongdogbia), but also we have Sadiki, Diarra, Le Fee and Rigg as cm options. We have good strength in depth already

Same for any player thats being groomed to take over from important players, whoever comes in may well surprise us all and rise to the challenge. Must admit I'm feeling pretty confident about the summer spending going off last years purchases, we've had some great additions
How old is Jordan Henderson? Danny Welbeck? Harry Maguire? John Stones? Fuck me, you'd think we had Old Father Time playing for us.

tbh, he's the sort of player who could probably adapt his game when this happens, just sit deep and spray the ball around. But I think we have another few seasons of him as he is. He's a model professional.Legs going?

Of the players you listed, Welbeck's the only one who came remotely close to the amount of minutes Xhaka played for us this season, and he was still short by about 5 whole games worth. That's the point being made here, that at their ages it gets harder to cope with the amount of matches a team playing in Europe has to manage. It's not like anyone's saying he's a useless owld sod, is it?

- Henderson started 24 games in all comps, and was subbed on/off about a dozen times each.
- Stones made just 13 starts in all comps.
- Welbeck played 2400 minutes this season
Xhaka played over 3000 minutes this season, and next season we're likely to play at least another 10 games more than this season.

What makes people think we would be playing Xhaka in a midweek game again Bumfuck Turkmenistan United anyway? Firstly, we'll buy probably 6 or 7 players this summer to give us more depth, and secondly we'll use european games to give younger and or players who are needing experience and game time. IF we progress and it looks like we'll actually win something, then we'll send the first team out. Everyone seems to think we're not going to do a RLB rebuild again. I'm convinced we will and it'll be even better than last summer.
