Slot sacked.

Was to be expected to be honest. They obviously didn't fancy Alonso who the majority of the fan base wanted so have held off until he was snapped up. Iraola seems to be the one they're hanging their cap on. Be interesting to see if he can make the step up.

City (don't think Maresca has been confirmed but expected), Liverpool, Fulham and Palace all looking for new bosses. Howe, Moyes and Peirera could all be gone by the end of the summer too which would mean half the league having completely different managers between seasons.

It's an un-Liverpool thing this. All their title winning managers have had the job until they don't want it in my lifetime. It's a shame that they've gone down this route.
The drop off from last season is remarkable though and hasn’t been spoken about enough. Even earlier in the season when they topped the league they were so, so poor.

I guess it was un-Liverpool like to break the bank for Wirtz, Ekitike and Isak. It’s a strange situation in which a title holder make 3 massive signings yet recede massively.

Perhaps the history books will conclude Slot won the league with Klopp’s team and an outrageous two thirds of the season from Mo Salah? May be harsh but if Iraola gets them playing well and title challenging, that will happen.

I reckon the main factor behind this was his lack of control over player behaviour. Salah throwing the toys out etc
Salah behaved like a proper bellend. He was dropped because he wasn’t performing so had a tantrum and went public. He was then reinstated (which shouldn’t have happened as competently undermined Slot) and again went public and blamed the tactics on their poor season.
Not once did he look in the mirror and include himself. Wanker.

Iraola is on a hiding to nothing there.

The fans had a once in a generational manager in Klopp and they wont accept anything but a fist pumping gurner who racks up 90+ points a season playing doping intense football with a few world class players sprinkled on top.

Iraola goes on runs of games without a win (10 games this season) - the kopites wont put up with that and he hasn't the personality or fist pumping charisma old klipperty had to keep the cretins on side.

Bit like the 90s mags who think every manager has to play like keegan

Made it hard for Slot. He’s well on the decline. Tough for any manager to go up against that. Mind he isn’t the only one. They need a new keeper 2 x CBs. He’s made the next blokes job easier Salah and a declining Robertson gone.
