Slot sacked.

Surprised they didn’t make a move for Alonso then
The absolute obvious choice for Liverpool and a bit backward of the ownership to not be on the pulse of what Alonso was doing/ where he had offers
I don't get this at all, they could have sacked Slot at any point over the last 6 months, so why choose now when Alonso has already gone to Chelsea? Really poor decisions at the top there.
Gives me hope that we can compete consistently with the big boys if we keep improving as they're generally run abysmally.
Iraola would be a huge mistake, be even worse than Slot
Can't pretend I've watched Bournemouth much other than our 2 games against them but in both of those I was shocked at what a horrible non football side they were considering how many plaudits them & Brentford seem to get. They were very direct & kicked absolute lumps out of us in both games. Then the way he went on on the sidelines & in his interviews made Arteta & Silva seem like nice polite guys.
If they think he'll play 'the Liverpool way' they're hiring the wrong man.

They lost the same number of games as newly promoted us ffs and there's people saying it's harsh

Aye there was a few circumstances that played a part but he signed all those players last summer with no real idea how it was going to work

Aye he was poor this season, from that first game of the season against Bournemouth really.

I tend to agree. KLD has been inside the operations of running football clubs since he was a yoot. That puts us at a big advantage compared to mega rich foreign owners (as we only know ourselves too well) who don’t understand the perculiarities/ nuances of sport/ football business management/ ownership.

Even outside of our example you have clubs the size of AC Milan and Chelsea making horrific decisions that 90% of football fans could see a mile off.

On the flip side we seem to be getting so much of everything we do (with the odd exception, but even then the owners seem to be able to learn from their mistakes) spot on.
