Slot sacked.

He had looked a good manager at a 'small' club, its a huge gamble for Liverpool as this squad is nowhere near good enough with the attitude they have, plus a world cup in the legs to be challenging for titles and thats what Liverpool fans expect no matter what they will say, they want attacking exciting football and challenging for titles now. If it is Iraola Bournemouth better rinse Liverpool for any players he comes back for.
Smacks of Thomas the Frank Engines move to Spurs. Excellent at B’ford, but couldn’t cope with the demands and expectations of one of the big boys.

One of Liverpool’s main issues was giving Salah another contract. He’s been poor this season but the club gave in to fan pressure.
I still think it may have been worth keeping him on as the sheer amount of attackers they’ve lost in the last 12 months is crazy. He still had something to offer I feel, way more than Gakpo who has been horrendous all season.

Semenyo would have been perfect for Liverpool, I wonder if City moved so quick to stop Liverpool getting him.

Gerrard would be a bigger feck up than Slot
Conte is available
Iraola is available
Could Klopp be enticed back
Marco Silva’s contract is up
Glasner
All better than Gerrard

Fully agree, he might be a huge success, win the quadruple next year but theres a reason theres a merry go round of managers for the top clubs and its because that jump is huge, players know at Brentford, Bournemouth and Sunderland they dont hold the power unless they already have the best teams throwing contracts at them whereas at Liverpool theres 7 or 8 who think they are more important than the manager and the fans will side with them over the manager, Salah v Slot being prime example, Slot was in the right as Salah has been terrible and didnt deserve to start every game but the fans picked Salah and threw Slot under the bus, he was a dead man walking from them.

Did slot actually sign the players or a sporting director? Either way leaving yourself with an over the hill van Dijk as your best CB was a recipe for disaster

I mean slott came from an even worse league. Iriola has done a fantastic job in the premier league while having his best players nicked every season. He plays attractive football, I never got slott appointment at the time tbh.
Spelling was easier when all the managers and players were Smiths and Joneses.
