I think it’s harsh. The way Salah has gone on has been poor as well.

I agree.Iraola conveniently available, that's who'll get it imho
Surprised they didn’t make a move for Alonso then
I don't get this at all, they could have sacked Slot at any point over the last 6 months, so why choose now when Alonso has already gone to Chelsea? Really poor decisions at the top there. The absolute obvious choice for Liverpool and a bit backward of the ownership to not be on the pulse of what Alonso was doing/ where he had offers
Can't pretend I've watched Bournemouth much other than our 2 games against them but in both of those I was shocked at what a horrible non football side they were considering how many plaudits them & Brentford seem to get. They were very direct & kicked absolute lumps out of us in both games. Then the way he went on on the sidelines & in his interviews made Arteta & Silva seem like nice polite guys.Iraola would be a huge mistake, be even worse than Slot
In fairness, van Dijk must have been exhausted carrying Konate through a Premier League season.Did slot actually sign the players or a sporting director? Either way leaving yourself with an over the hill van Dijk as your best CB was a recipe for disaster
Completely different style. Thomas Frank was counter-attacking master, while Iraola is much more attacking, "heavy metal" approach. I fear he will do very well and be a big rival competitor for us.Bournemouth to Liverpool is a huge jump if it is Iraola. Feels a bit Thomas Frank.
Weird that this keeps being mentioned when the bald bloke was part of Tudor's staff, I've heard a few podcasts mention it in the last weekYou must be logged on to see media items
Yep. It isn't just players that get tapped up.The club would have knew this was happening. They'd have told Alonso if they wanted him.
Aye he was poor this season, from that first game of the season against Bournemouth really. They lost the same number of games as newly promoted us ffs and there's people saying it's harsh
Aye there was a few circumstances that played a part but he signed all those players last summer with no real idea how it was going to work
Sporting director needs to go aswell. The guehi transfer failure was a messThey lost the same number of games as newly promoted us ffs and there's people saying it's harsh

. The way Salah has gone on has been poor as well.
Was even signs last season around the time of them gifting the mags their cup and losing to PSG. Salah massively papered over some of the issues that came into this seasonAye he was poor this season, from that first game of the season against Bournemouth really.
I tend to agree. KLD has been inside the operations of running football clubs since he was a yoot. That puts us at a big advantage compared to mega rich foreign owners (as we only know ourselves too well) who don’t understand the perculiarities/ nuances of sport/ football business management/ ownership.I don't get this at all, they could have sacked Slot at any point over the last 6 months, so why choose now when Alonso has already gone to Chelsea? Really poor decisions at the top there.
Gives me hope that we can compete consistently with the big boys if we keep improving as they're generally run abysmally.
In a way he's got what he wanted. I think Slot was probably sacked over what's happened off the pitch rather than what happened on it. As a neutral outside observer it seems mad to sack the manager that got them 5th with UCL football secured for another seasonHope they don’t get Salah back on a new contract mind.
