Anthony Gordon unleashes in excellent Spanish in presention

Still, very impressive to do that in your unveiling in Spain 👍. Seems a decent lad, now that he's not a Mag 😃.

I've always said to my Mag mates that he's a very good footballer who lets himself down with his cheating, diving and feigning injury. He was even up to it against us in the cup game ar the SoL when we were crap - going down with 2 broken legs every time he was tackled! 🙄
What you on about? One minute you call him a decent lad the next you can him a cheat.

First off, Spanish is easy to learn if you have the will. I left school speaking it competently just from 3 lessons per week.

Secondly, he's not a decent lad at all. He went on strike at Everton during a relegation battle, the club where he learned his trade. Everton fans hate him.

It was just 2 months ago he was arrogantly saying Sunderland are not a good team, after we beat them.

He's full of himself and his old lady hair offends me.

He seems utterly dislikable but you have to hand it to him
He has made the most of his talent
It must gall them up the road how he has diminished them and Everton in his claims about club size and stature

Something defo happened last summer which split the Newcastle team.

I find it funny as he's been secretly learning Spanish for this move for months and months and nee one in the press was tipped off meaning it defo was all done in secret lol

Unhappy dressing room they got them up the road.

Amazed to hear an English footballer speaking very decent Spanish (pronunciation-wise) during his presentation today in Barcelona.

One might say he's not as stupid as he looks.

Apparently he was a boyhood Barça fan and has been preparing for this moment by taking Spanish lessons, while not haring down the wing at Newcastle.
Spelling. It’s ‘hairing’ down the wing in the gophers’s case.

Duolingo on his phone

Rat Boy definitely gone up in my estimation after jumping off the sinking Saudi ship

Apparently he was muttering “Que se jodan las urracas” on his way through Ponteland airport as well

I agree but if he was a boyhood fan of Barca he should have been learning Catalan.
It’s not pedantic but Barca are steeped in Catalan tradition and history and the language is very very important. It’s how they distance themselves from the Spanish and Castilian language
Our lads learn Blackcatalan 😉.

My joke about him being a decent lad (now he's not a Mag) seems to have gone owa ya heed, like 🙄.

But fair play to him for speaking the lingo in his first press conference. Took some nerve, that, regardless of how easy it is to learn it.

And yes. His diving and rolling about still gets on my t1t5! 😬

Im particularly enjoying how the Mags are wishing him well through gritted teeth, as everyone knows he basically downed tools and had his exit lined up months ago. All this taking penalties despite there being strikers on the pitch were always about increasing his profile. Howe barely gave him an hour game time since Xmas.

The Isak situation burned them so badly that they have to be seen to be gracious, but he's has played them.
